Harry Potter celebrations will be everywhere  or so it seems. And there are eight days until the newest book is released.
Here’s one event in Rockland County that is open to everyone for a $5 charge.
All muggles, reads an announcement we got by e-mail, are invited to a Harry Potter celebration. It includes a screening of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” at 7 p.m. July 20 at the Nyack Center on South Broadway. There will be performances by Danna Banana and other Hogwarts staff, a costume contest and a Leaky Cauldron cafe. Tickets are $5. For information, call 845-358-2600. This is presented by the Nyack Center with Danna Banana, Eyevolution Optique and Kim Adele Rosner of Baer and McIntosh Real Estate.
