The Get Buggy With It! Library Exhibit, a collection of award-winning art, photography, and creative writing pieces created by students in grades K-8 throughout Westchester County, is on show at the Mt. Pleasant library through August.
These creative expressions are part of the second annual “Get Buggy With It! Bee Creative Contest.” The pieces make up a colorful and informative, educational exhibit that is traveling throughout Westchester’s public libraries.
The “Get Buggy With It! Bee Creative Contest,†sponsored each year by JP McHale Pest Management, features well-researched, original visual and written creations by children in grades K-8 that demonstrate how bugs help our environment and how bugs can be our partners in saving the earth, according to a press release this week. The “buggy” program coordinates with the annual summer reading program to encourage children and teens to become inspired readers.
This traveling exhibit is on display at the Mt. Pleasant Library, 350 Mt. Pleasant Road in Pleasantville this month.
In September, the exhibit goes to the Eastchester Public Library, 11 Oakridge Place.
Other locations are planned, but have not been announced…….stay tuned.
